Hyde Science Lab is an independent study site made by Hyde parent volunteers for Hyde students. It is not run by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Hyde Middle School or its school district.

Hyde Science Lab is a practice and coaching site for Hyde students on science competition teams. Each event has its own course, with study guides, drills, practice tests and, in some courses, a coach dashboard. It is run by Hyde parent volunteers and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Hyde Middle School, its school district, any competition organizer, or any agency or organization whose material a course draws on. It's a study aid, and we can't guarantee any result at a tournament.
Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's limits or protections; don't copy the question banks, practice tests or assessments to publish or sell them; don't use the site to harass anyone or to upload unlawful or inappropriate material; and don't share an assessment's questions or answers with teams that haven't taken it. We may pause or remove accounts that break these rules.
The site is free for Hyde students and coaches. There is nothing to buy.
Answers that students type and any questions or rosters that coaches enter remain theirs. You allow us to store and process them to run the site, including sending written answers to an AI grader to score them. The site's own content (study guides, questions, practice tests, code and design) belongs to Hyde Science Lab and is for Hyde students' practice, not for resale.
Written answers are scored by an AI grader against a checklist. It can make mistakes. Scores are a practice aid, and coaches can look at the answers and feedback themselves.
We work to keep the site running, but it's provided as is, and we may change or remove features.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided without warranties, and Hyde Science Lab and its volunteers aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.
You can stop using the site at any time. Coaches can delete students and teams from the dashboard, or ask us to delete their account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
If we make an important change, we'll update the date above and email coaches. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
